Sometimes, as an artist, you have pieces that challenge you in what they are supposed to be. That's what Monterrey and Armada are, two songs that we could not find a home for on any of our previous releases. So, we decided to create a "concept" around these two tunes.
When writing these songs we intentionally use similar phrasing within both songs to tie them together, to give them a cohesive feel. We also have multiple guitar tracks, percussions, etc. which is something we have never done before. These songs needed those layers and it was a new experience for us.
With that said, we give you "Armada". This release is our interpretation of contact being made between the new world and the old world.
